Sessions

One to one

Personal attention

Sessions are individual, one to one meetings that are aimed at understanding undesired behaviors and their symptoms. The primary mode of operating for all sessions is to create enough space so that any feeling can be expressed.

Symptoms

Every problem has a symptom. A symptom is understood in the Mental Lab Resistance as a pointer, a clue, and, ultimately, an indicator of an underlying condition, therefore proving useful in getting to know the mental terrain behind. Getting to know all present symptoms and stopping the shame they might create is a great way to begin to sketch a mental improvement plan.

Conversation

The MRL believes that open and honest conversations are a path to self-knowledge. A deep conversation can be illuminating for our conscious and unconscious. The goal is to capture the deep seated beliefs and anachronisms that sit in our mental space.

Introduction of new ideas

Change happens when a new idea enters into contact with a person's agency. A new idea can be a catalyst and a continuous source of energy for pointing oneself towards beneficial change.

Honest intervention

In its ideal state, a session is a place for direct intervention and direct talk. The reason being that unclear and indirect communication can create unwanted noise therefore causing more confusion than clarity. The MRL aims to provide direct and constructive feedback that is delivered humanly.

Support

Everyone needs in life someone that functions as our biggest supporter, a person that is deeply encouraging and at the same time is able to tell us directly what detrimental behaviors we are enacting. The MRL aims to provide this service for people, creating a high-value intellectual and emotional connection.
